Susanna Shell-Phillips, MSW, LISW, CADC

Susanna earned her Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Omaha. She is a licensed independent social worker and certified alcohol and drug counselor in the State of Iowa. She is certified by the American Society of Clinical Hypnosis and has trained in couple’s counseling through the Gottman Institute. For over 20 years she has sought to offer a safe, encouraging environment in which clients may embrace healing change to maximize their full potential.

She incorporates hypnosis in the process of managing anxiety, reducing stress, coping with chronic pain, recovering from addictions, healing from past trauma, and sports performance enhancement. She has experience in working with a variety of mental disorders. She does therapy for individuals, opposite and same sex couples, non-traditional families, and groups.

She is available for on-site crisis therapy and has been an advocate for children of divorce. She feels especially effective in working with females and women of all ages. She is certified in Applied Behavioral Analysis for treatment of Autism. She is also available for public speaking.
