Scott D. Cox, LISW has been practicing as a mental health therapist since graduating with a Master’s of Social Work degree in 1999 from the University of Nebraska at Omaha. He has worked the majority of his career in community mental health, which gave him a wide variety of clientele that helped him develop skills in many areas of need. During that time he also served as the agency clinical supervisor before joining the current practice.
He has experience working with people of all ages, including children as young as five years of age. Some areas of special interest include; relationship issues including marriage, separation and divorce, personality disorders, grief and bereavement, post-traumatic stress disorder, victims of abuse including physical, emotional and sexual, ADHD and also spiritual issues. He is versed in many therapeutic approaches, including cognitive-behavioral, life span integration, emotion focused and child focused therapies.
